Baby Bites should be every parents' childhood nutrition manual. It's chock full of information and practical tips, from breastfeeding to sneaky ways to get toddlers to eat vegetables. Healthy eating habits start in infancy — start reading it now!"

"As a pediatrician and childhood obesity prevention advocate, I applaud Bridget Swinney's comprehensive, practical, and well-organized approach to how we feed our babies in the first few years of life. Baby Bites is scientifically sound and is an EXCELLENT resource for virtually any question you might have about how to feed your baby".

About Bridget

Bridget Swinney MS, RD is a registered dietitian specializing in family nutrition. Long before "Deceptively Delicious" came along, Bridget was creating sneaky recipes for her children and ultimately for her book Healthy Food for Healthy Kids. Recipes like "Chicken Chili" a smooth soup that features white beans, "Sneaky White Sauce", a cheese sauce based on cooked cauliflower, and "Secret Sauce", a blended tomato sauce with five different vegetables, fill the book.

In her first book, Eating Expectantly, Bridget provided a few "sneaks" for Moms who needed a little encouragement to eat their veggies--along with lots of practical info and recipes! Her latest book, Baby Bites, gives parents all the info they need to feed their baby--from newborn to three including homemade baby food recipes!

Bridget is the mother of two boys; she began writing the first edition of Eating Expectantly after her first son was born. She's an advocate for child health; has served on her school district's School Health Advisory Council for the past four years and consults at a public health clinic. A seasoned media contributor, Bridget has appeared on Good Morning America and the Food Network, and her articles have been published in American Baby, Parents, Parenting and Baby Talk. She regularly blogs on the New York Times blog "Well" as well as on her own blog.
