| Bridget Swinney MS, RD is a well regarded nutrition expert in the field of prenatal nutrition, child nutrition, weight control and family eating matters. She is certified in both Adult and Child Weight Management with the American Dietetic Association. A frequent speaker and media guest, she is a Registered Dietitian with a Master’s Degree in Nutrition.
Bridget has worked as a clinical dietitian, public health nutritionist, diabetes educator and weight loss group facilitator. She is the author of three books: Baby Bites, Eating Expectantly; The Practical and Tasty Guide to Prenatal Nutrition, 3rd edition, and Healthy Food for Healthy Kids; The Practical and Tasty Guide to Child Nutrition. She is co-author of The Healthy Heart Formula.
After self-publishing the first edition of Eating Expectantly, which was reviewed in Library Journal and won the Child Magazine’s award for one of the Best Ten Parenting Books, Bridget began her specialization in health communications. She has served as Media Spokesperson for the Colorado Dietetic Association, where she sought placements for nutrition information in the Colorado media.
Bridget’s media interviews number in the hundreds and include: Good Morning America, Weekend Today, Later Today, The Food Network, WGN, CNN Accent Health and Fox on Family. She has also appeared on local networks in Colorado Springs, San Francisco, Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Ft. Worth, Austin, San Antonio and Houston.

Bridget brings a very practical aspect to her work. She works at home where she is the mother of two teen boys and is the volunteer chair of the EPISD School Health Advisory Council.
